Recently, SICL has been certified in ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, the world's first international standard for OH&S.

According to the estimation of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in 2018, there are more than 2.78 million deaths a year worldwide as a result of occupational accidents and work-related diseases, in addition to over 370 million non-fatal injuries and illness.

SICL places great importance and emphasis on occupational health and safety (OH&S) in conducting business and running our daily operations. Recently, SICL has been certified in ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, the world’s first international standard for OH&S. This certification recognizes SICL’s long effort in putting comprehensive OH&S management system in place, ensuring a safe and healthy workplace to our staff at all times.

ISO 45001 provides a framework to increase safety, reduce workplace hazards and enhance health and well-being at work, enabling an organization to proactively improve its OH&S performance. It also follows the same high-level structure as other ISO management system standards, such as ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 14001 (environmental management), that provides better protection to employees.

Last year, we successfully completed our first ever overseas fitting out project in Cambodia, which was a milestone in the development of SICL.

It was a show flat and sales centre fitting out project for an eye-catching large residential development in Phnom Penh. Our professionals were required to iron out a smooth work relationship with the domestic workers as quickly as possible, in order to finish several show flats, sales centre and its façades within a short period of time. Our team not only demonstrated their professionalism and team spirit overcoming various challenges during the project period, but also exhibited the chic yet luxurious design of the show flats, as well as the premium and splendid style of the sales centre successfully.

We will strive to expand overseas markets and showcase our local professional management and quality craftmanship to the world.

We are honoured to announce that we have recently been awarded the “Joyful@Healthy Workplace Best Practices Merit Award 2019-20”, a programme jointly launched by the Department of Health and the Occupational Safety and Health Council, which recognises our efforts and achievements in promoting occupational health.

As a caring company that places great importance to occupational health, we always value and treasure our joyful and healthy workforce. Also, we have pledged to establish a healthy and joyful workplace by signing the “Charter of Joyful@Healthy Workplace”. In the years ahead, we will continue to strive in joining hands with employees to create a healthy and joyful working environment through various aspects, including in promoting “Healthy Eating”, “Physical Activity” and “Mental Well-being”.
